DIY Party Favors: Coconut Rose Body Scrub
Everyone knows that you should never arrive to a party empty-handed, but what if the party is for you? Last weekend, my lovely Maid of Honor threw me a fantastic bachelorette weekend with a built-in bridal shower at our hotel suite. She went all out with decorations and games, and I knew that I wanted to offer a small party favor for all of my friends who went out of their way to attend.
Using ingredients that I already had at home, I whipped up a batch or two of luxurious, rose-scented body scrub. It took about fifteen minutes, and the resulting gifts were special and unique. So grab a friend or two, pour some Pinot Gris, and get crafting!

Coconut Rose Body Scrub Instructions
- Two cups of sugar
- One cup of coconut oil
- ¼ teaspoon rose essential oil
- In a medium bowl, combine sugar and coconut oil with a spoon. The coconut oil stays solid at room temperature, so it may take a few minutes before everything is mixed properly.
- Add rose oil (or another fragrance—I made a few extra with lavender) and mix well.
- Spoon body scrub into containers (I used Weck 2.7 ounce canning jars) and adorn each one with ribbon.
