to Taste Along on March 10th
Pop open one of your wines from your most recent shipment and pick up one (or all!) of my suggested pairings to taste along with us:
- Mt Tam | Cowgirl Creamery – paired with Los Carneros Chardonnay
- Foggy Morning | Nicasio Valley Cheese Company – paired with Kelli Ann Vineyard Chardonnay
- San Andreas | Bellwether Farms – paired with Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
- Midnight Moon | Cypress Grove – paired with Sealift Vineyard Pinot Noir
for The Ultimate Cheese Board
I like to offer three to five cheeses. Choose a nice assortment of high-quality cheese with a variety of textures, flavors, and types of milk (cow, goat, sheep). Here are some of my favorites:
- Creamy, decadent cheese – Mt Tam, Saint Andre or Explorateur
- Soft goat cheese – Laura Chenel, Cabecou or Humbolt Fog
- Semi soft cheese – Carmody or Pt Reyes Toma
- Strong, firm cheese – Fiscalini Cheddar or Vella Dry Jack
- Some Funk – A delicious blue or Gorgonzola like Pt Reyes Bay Blue or St Agur
- Not just cheese! – Marcona almonds, smoked almonds, dried fruit like apricot, cherries, cranberries, honey or honeycomb, fig jam or quince paste, assorted crackers, and you can really jazz it up with some prosciutto and salami
